研究会概要

目的・内容

本研究会では、ネットワークの運用と実空間を支援するインターネットのあり方について考えます。

インターネットが情報通信の社会インフラになったと言われるようになってから約20年が経ちます。インターネットは、人と人の間で情報交換を可能にしたり、情報を検索を容易にしたり、インターネットが人間の生活を便利にし、また劇的に変化させたのは事実です。

一方で、インターネットの使われ方は未だ私の納得できるものではありません。以前、「サイバー空間」という単語がよく使われていましたが、我々が生きる空間はあくまで「実空間」です。実空間の情報をインターネット上に置き、さらに我々の生活を便利にしていくことが本研究会の目的です。

これまでに、下記のような研究を推進していますので、参考にしてください。

- Scanning the Earthプロジェクト（ http://scanningtheearth.org/ ）
- 上記のようなシステムの中で使うためのインターネット移動体通信技術
- 災害時のインターネット早期復旧システムの開発
- 実インターネットの運用

上記に限らず、学生の皆さんのやりたいことを尊重しながら研究会を運営していきます。

Internet operation and Internet technology to support real world is the main topic of this seminar.

It's about 20 years since the Internet became a social infrastructure. The Internet changed our lifestyles drastically; now we can communicate with each other, we can acquire information using the Internet and so on.

On the other hand, we aren't satisfied with the current Internet. A few years ago, word "cyberspace" is used. But we are in "real world". The purpose of this seminar is to put real-world information on the Internet to support our life.

In the seminar, we do following researches. Please consider them.

- Scanning the Earth project (http://scanningtheearth.org/)
- Internet mobility technologies to support the above projects
- Internet technologies to support disaster situation
- The Internet operation

授業スケジュール

基本的に、それぞれが1週間検討してきたことを皆の前で発表してもらい、議論をおこないます。

また、「中村・楠本・高汐・重近・バンミーター・植原・三次・中澤・武田合同研究プロジェクト」( http://rg.sfc.keio.ac.jp/ )として活動しています。基本的に、木曜日の合同研究会にも出席が求められます。また、この一環として、学期末には自分の研究成果を発表会で発表することが求められます。詳しくは、学期始めに、研究会活動の説明や履修者の体験談が聞けるガイダンスを設けています。開催日時は決定次第、掲示板や研究会ホームページにて告知します。

Basically, students make a presentation once a week. Then all member discuss it.

In addition, we are part of the joint seminar "Nakamura/Kusumoto/Takashio/Van Meter/Uehara/Mitsugi/Nakazawa/Takeda Labs" ( http://rg.sfc.keio.ac.jp/ ). Please participate the joint seminar meeting which is held on Thursday. And you are required to make a presentation at the joint seminar. Details will be explained at the guidance of the joint seminar. Please check the joint seminar web page.
