科目概要
Advanced fieldwork is a compulsory course for doctoral students, studying in such as Global Environmental System Leaders (GESL) Program. In order to develop human resources who would lead and build the global environmental system for immediate response to global environmental changes, this international fieldwork and internship for major and minor research is implemented by collaborating with high-level international universities and institutions, or international universities and institutions in regions with environmental problems. Students are required to complete fieldwork and internship abroad for 3 months to 6 months, and develop their collaborative research abilities by receiving guidance and training from professors and researchers of partnering high-level international universities or institutions, and by studying actual environmental problems.
国際的高水準の連携・提携機関、および、実際の環境問題を抱える地域の連携・提携機関との遠隔と対面との融合による実践的なフィールドワークを実施する。3ヶ月間〜6ヶ月間の期間にわたり連携先機関・提携機関へ留学し、国際的高水準の学修・研究指導を受け、実際の環境問題を抱える地域での学修・研究を行い、グローバル環境システムの実現を先導できる国際レベルの研究能力を養う。これにより、地球規模での環境変化に迅速かつ適切に対応するグローバル環境システムを創出、先導する人材を育成する。

Advanced Fieldwork A/B/C/D (eight credits, four credits, four credits, six credits respectively) *5
Notes when taking the subjects
*1 Doctoral students must take the courses as “optional subjects”.
*2 As noted in the syllabus, each course has a restriction on the number of students. In the event that the number of students hoping to take a course exceeds the limitation, priority will be given to GESL students.
*3 Fieldworks should be taken in the order A and then B.
*4 Internships should be taken in the order A and then B.
*5 Only doctoral students from the Graduate School of Media and Governance are able to conduct “Advanced Fieldwork". Please choose from Advanced Fieldwork A, B, C, or D as appropriate for the International Training time period.
*6 Internships should be taken in the order A, B, C, and then D.
In this course, we visit international institutes and academic research laboratories with innovative research activities and actual environmental research projects to perform advanced fieldwork and internship.
