科目概要


This is an introductory class for freshers at Faculty of Policy Management. SFC's Faculty of Policy Management was the first undergraduate faculty/department focusing on policy studies in Japan. How it started, has developed and will evolve are discussed at first. Then, we will explore very basic concepts of political science, economics, legal studies, and management studies. These areas and disciplines are core basis for policy studies.

 

授業シラバス

主題と目標／授業の手法など

In order to understand very basic concepts of political science, economics, legal studies, management studies and field work, we will invite some faculty members of each area and discipline. They will give a lecture for 60 minutes. Then, three professors (Tsuchiya, Tanaka and Kunieda) will have a Q&A session with a guest lecturer. Students are encouraged to join the discussion.

Study materials are shown during classes.

提出課題・試験・成績評価の方法など

Please note that those who come to the classroom after 9:25 will be counted as "late", and those who come after 9:40 will be counted as "absent".

Additional points are given for active participation in class discussion.

We summarize our discussions in previous classes and consider how to
do your own research at SFC.

 

 

第8回 【塾内限定公開】Term-end Report

 

Students must finish a term-end report on an assigned topic.
