【課題内容】
Use pencil and draw your own hand.

You need to cast shade and shadow of your hand in your drawing.

Put your name and student number on the right-bottom.

Scan the drawing and upload on the site. I recommend you to scan it with 300dpi in grayscale or full color.



note; Hand is a drawing subject which express a lot by specific pose. I will evaluate what kind of pose of a hand you draw as well as your skill regarding for pencil drawing.



Size of drawing= A4

Paper= Recommend to use sketch book paper

履修条件

If you have successfully completed art subjects in high school, you are ready for taking this class. If not, I recommend you to exercise hand drawing before the class starts in this summer.

This class is given in the first half period of the semester. It is designed to be combined with another class, 'Notation and Expression' given in the second half period of the semester.
I recommend you to pursue 'Notation and Expression' after the class*.
* Note: Unfortunately, the language of the class 'Notation and Expression' is in Japanese.

高校までの美術をしっかり履修していてほしいです。そうでないのであれば可能な限り授業始まりまでに，自主的にデッサンの練習をしてきて下さい。

この授業は今学期前半開講の授業です．今学期後半に開講する「ノーテーションと表現」とセットで履修する事を奨めます．

The class welcomes,

1) students who plans to be a designer in a future

2) students who plants to be an artist

3) students who will engage him/herself in research and development and will need to describe his/her ideas by drawing or other graphical expressions.

この授業では，デザイン，美術分野へすすむ事を考えている人を対象にします．またエンジニア志望の学生でも開発案件において絵を描く必要のある職業に進む人も対象にします．

科目概要

IMPORTANT:
In 2020, due to pandemic, the campus will be closed until the end of the academic year. And this class will be on-line-class using ZOOM and Slack. Besides, The last assignment of the drawing exercise is drawing SFC campus. So I still look for chances to make on-campus class in the last 2 weeks of the class.
In this case, if students outside Japan have problem to re-enter Japan due to Pandemic, I will give alternative assignment for these students.

This class gives you a series of drawing lessons for a skill to observe and describe objects on a paper. Specifically the class focuses on perspective drawing. Perspective drawing is a standard method of "how to draw three dimensional objects and space such as buildings and product designs on two dimensional plane." You can roughly measure its sizes and its proportions of what you draw by learning perspective drawing.

Computer drawing has been so popular for the last two decades. And it is difficult to attract your clients by presenting your idea with only computer graphics. I have practiced my carrier in design and fine art field. And as long as I have experienced through my carrier, more the computer graphics become popular, a simple pencil drawing get bigger power to attract people.

I regards freehand drawing as a design language to observe and describe what you can not describe by text. The purpose of the class is to provide you a chance to get a skill of hand drawing so that you can use the design language.
In the first lecture, the class gives you a short lecture on the history of the perspective as well.

重要：2020年の授業形態はオンラインとします。ただしこの授業の最後の課題は「SFCキャンパスを描く」ですので，最後の２回のみ温キャンパスで行えないか可能性を探っているところです．パンデミックの自体が改善されない場合は課題を変更して完全オンラインとします。

この授業ではデザインを観察する基本技法であるデッサン力を身につけます．さらに透視図法（遠近法）という一般的な絵の描き方を学ぶ事で，立体物の寸法やプロポーションをおおまかに測って絵に描く事ができる技法を身につけます．

近年コンピュータによるプレゼンテーションが一般化し，「完成予想図」などに用いられるコンピュータグラフィックスの新鮮味がなくなってきています。私がデザイン業務を通して実感する限り，手書きによる描写力はますます重要性を増している，と感じます．また実務において施主との打ち合わせでは手書きでアイデアを絵にして伝える事が効果的であるというのも事実です．

この授業では透視図の基本的な原理を歴史と絡めながら説明し、デッサン（透視図）が空間を観察＆表現する為の言語である事を理解してもらい，ハンドドローイングで描く透視図を修得してもらいます。

授業シラバス

主題と目標／授業の手法など

フリーハンドにより短時間で透視図を描く技術を修得してもらう。定規やコンパスを用い正確な理論のもと透視図を描くことは目的ではない．具体的な課題と目的は以下：

１　幾何学的なブロックを作成してもらい、これを立体構成する。絵を描く構図を手を動かしながら構成する技術を身につける。

２　自分が立体構成したものを一般的な絵を描く作法である透視図を用いて描く。

３　上記透視図を習得する事で，日常触れるデザインプロダクトの寸法やプロポーションを把握しながら描画する事ができる．このような基本的な技法を用いて，身の回りのもの，デザインプロダクトや自然の造形，人物を描いてもらう。

４　上記の透視図法を用いてSFCのキャンパスを描きます。パンデミックの事態が改善されずオンキャンパスが不可能と判断された場合はそれに変わる課題に取り組みます。

以上の演習の目的
精度よりも視点や消失点などの性質を最低限ふまえて透視図による立体や空間の観察を行えるようになること。
さらに踏み込んで，絵を描く技法を自由に使いこなし，自分独自の表現を行う事ができるようになる事．

2. You make a composition with the blocks. And you draw it by perspective while capturing relational sizes and proportions of cubes.

3. With the skill you draw objects, product, nature, and person.

4. With the skill you draw　buildings and landscape in our campus. If it is hard to make on-campus class due to the Pandemic, I will replace the assignment for on-line-class.



The purpose of the class is to observe and capture your object in a short moment and represent it while keeping fundamental rules of perspective. It is not a purpose to aquire a skill to represent object with a scientific accuracy.
Further purpose is to acquire a skill to develop a unique drawing by manipulating perspective.

初回の製作する透視図用ブロックと各回でのデッサンをもとに成績評価します。

This class judges your grade according to the achivements of all assignments, blocks and drawings.

履修上の注意

この授業では，手を動かしながら製作を行います。授業外でも作業が発生します．また製作にかかる費用は学生各自の負担となります．この授業では，

などを用意してもらうことになります．秋学期のこの授業に合わせて生協で入手できるよう手配しておきます。

This class requires many extra production works after school. You need to pay for expences for the productions. You need to prepare pencils (B, 2B, 4B, 6B) a set of color pencils, pastels, baby powder, kneaded eraser, masking film, sketch book with A3size, cloquis book withA4size and fixative.

University shop in the campus kindly organizes a sett of these drawing matterial in one package. You can buy it there.
