研究会概要

目的・内容

日本では近年、ワンオペ育児・家事やイクメン、働き方改革といった、家族の生産・再生産機能に関連する諸問題やその解決方法がさかんに議論されています。こういったさまざまな言説が生まれる背景として、「男は仕事、女は家庭」という性別役割分業がいまなお根強く残っていることが挙げられますが、そもそもこの性別役割分業はいつ、どのようにして生まれたのでしょうか。また、この性別役割分業に基づく家族形態を「近代家族」と呼びますが、「近代家族」は制度・政策―社会保険や労働政策、家族政策など―、人々の行動規範や実際の生活にどのような影響を与えたのでしょうか。
本研究会は、少子化やグローバル化といった問題とも絡めながら、これらの問いへの答えを主に歴史学や社会学の分析の方法によってともに探求したいと考えている学生を対象とする研究会です。毎回の研究会は、専門文献の輪読や紹介、全体でのディスカッション、担当者のコメントを中心に進めます。
2018年度春学期は明治期〜昭和戦前期の「主婦」をテーマとする文献、2018年度秋学期は昭和戦後期〜平成期の家族をテーマとする文献、2019年春学期は変容する家族について、都市という環境に着目して、あるいは東アジア諸国と比較して分析した文献、2019年度秋学期は「家族のための総合政策」と題されたシリーズ（市民社会と家族政策の関係、ワーク・ライフ・バランス、家族内の虐待・暴力と貧困などがテーマ）、2020年度春学期は社会政策学会誌やシリーズ『家族研究の最前線』（比較家族史学会監修）に所収されている論文を重点的に扱いました。今学期は、ミネルヴァ書房「福祉＋α」シリーズをはじめとする関連文献（詳細は「教材・参考文献」を参照のこと）を読み進めながら、各自の研究テーマを掘り下げていきます。

Nowadays the problems related to the functions of family and their solutions are widely discussed in Japan. As a background of such a situation, we may point out that the traditional gender division of labour, 'men work, while women stay at home', still exists. When and how was it established? Such family form is called the 'modern family'. What kind of influence has the 'modern family' had on not only the institutions and policies but also behavioural norms and lives of the people? This seminar is targeted at those who want to explore the answers of these questions by relating the declining birthrate and aging population in methods for historical or sociological research. We will read academic books and articles and discuss in the seminar. In this semester we will read a series of books called "Welfare Plus Alpha" and other related literature.

評価方法

研究会への参加（30%）、文献の輪読・紹介、研究報告（40%）、期末レポート（30%）で総合的に評価します。

Active participation in seminar (30%), reading/introducing books and articles and presentations (40%), and the final report (30%).

来期の研究プロジェクトのテーマ予定

基本的に同じテーマ（研究会で輪読する文献は異なる）で継続する予定ですが、継続履修を希望する学生が多い場合は、彼らの研究テーマや関心領域にフォーカスします。

We will continue the same theme in the next semester. If quite a few want continuous participation in the seminar, we may focus on their research themes.

その他・留意事項

(1) 初回の研究会には必ず出席してください。欠席する場合は、事前に担当者に連絡すること。 (2) 発表やディスカッションの状況次第では、5限の時間帯まで研究会が続く可能性があります。月曜5限も空けておくこと。 (3) 自分が担当しない文献でも一読した上で研究会に臨むこと。 (4) 研究テーマや文献選びについて担当者に相談したいことがある場合は、いつでも遠慮なく、担当者宛てにメールで連絡してください。個別面談の時間を設けます。

(1) You must attend the first seminar. Please inform the course coordinator of your absence in advance, if you are unable to attend. (2) Presentations and discussions can last long. Please keep yourselves free of engagements in the 5th period. (3) Prereading is important in this seminar. (4) If you have anything to talk on your research themes or selecting books and articles, please send an E-mail to the course coordinator at any time. We will have an interview.
