パワーポイントによるスライド作成が問題なくできること。

Technical knowledge on cybersecurity is not required, although preferable.

研究会概要

目的・内容

※2020年春学期はCOVID-19のため、学校を訪問してのワークショップは実施できませんでした。2020年秋学期も同様の状況が予想されるため、個人研究が中心になる可能性があります。

本研究会は、学生諸君が小中高生にインターネットの安全な使い方について教えるボランティア活動「サイバーワークショップ」が中心になります。学生の関心に応じて、子どもたちの心と体を守るための防犯教育ボランティア活動にも取り組みます。学生は、定例の研究会だけでなく、ワークショップへの参加が強く求められます。

インターネットでは多数の問題事例が起きています。SNS上で心無い発言をされたりいじめを受けて心に傷が残る。軽い気持ちの「つぶやき」やいたずら画像がいつの間にか拡散し名前や住所まで調べられてネット上で晒される。交際相手から画像を求められそれがネット上で広がってしまう。学生諸君の中にも、そのような事例を体験したり身近で見聞きした方がいるかもしれません。

今の小中高生は、スマートフォン等の普及により、簡単かつ日常的にインターネットにアクセスできるようになっていますが、児童生徒が前述のようなトラブルに巻き込まれる事例も多数発生しています。小中高生が被害者になるだけではなく、簡単に加害者になってしまう場合もあります。今まさに、小中高生はインターネットの安全な使い方についての情報を必要としていますが、保護者や学校が必ずしも対応できていません。

本研究会は、「デジタルネイティブ」の小中高生を対象として、彼らに近い知識・感覚を持つ学生諸君が、インターネットの安全性についてのワークショップを行うとともに、ワークショップの成果をもとに分析研究を行い、ネット上のセキュリティのために役立つ洞察を得ようという、理論と実践の融合を目指すものです。また、このような実践活動を通じて学生諸君が直接社会に貢献することができる異色の研究会でもあります。

学生諸君は、サイバーセキュリティに関する法令・制度、サイバー犯罪・サイバー攻撃に関する情勢、小中高生のインターネット利用に伴うトラブル事例、他の機関・団体・有識者による啓発活動の内容など、幅広く最新の知見を学びつつ、児童生徒の年齢に応じて必要なこと、大事なことをいかに効果的に伝えることができるかを考え、実践活動から得られたフィードバックをもとに、さらに方法論を進化させることが期待されます。

研究という点では、例えばスマホによるネット利用と児童生徒というテーマは、ごく最近の社会現象であり、犯罪学、社会学などの世界でも先行研究は非常に少ないと思われ、学生諸君が実践活動から得られたデータなどをもとに論文として研究成果をまとめることも十分に可能だと思います。

これまでに、多数の小学校、中学校、高校におけるワークショップや講演の実績があり、非常に好評で、多くの教育関係者や保護者の方々から感謝の言葉を頂いています。

これまでに、朝日新聞をはじめ各種報道に多く取り上げられたほか、研究会として2015年度のSFC STUDENT AWARDの受賞、東京キワニスクラブからの表彰、神奈川県警察本部からの感謝状を頂いています。

※Due to COVID-19, we were not able to conduct school visitation workshops during the Spring 2020 semester.

A similar situation is expected for the Fall 2020 semester, so individual research may be the main focus.

This seminar focuses on volunteer activities "cyber-workshops" in which students teach information on how to use the internet safely to young students at elementary/middle/high schools. We may also conduct preventive education volunteer activities to protect children's mind and body. Students are highly expected to participate in the workshops as well as in the regular seminar classes.

There are many problematic cases that occur on the internet. Hurtful remarks or bullying on SNS, seemingly innocent tweets or images that end up spreading into disclosure of names and addresses, or dissemination of private images that were initially shared with a special person. Some students may have experienced such a case firsthand or have seen or heard it in close proximity.

Today's young students of elementary/middle/high schools are able to access the internet easily and on a daily basis through the spread of smartphones and other devices. There are many cases where young students are involved in the troubles as described above. In some cases, they become victims, but in other cases they become easy perpetrators. Although young students need information on how to use the internet safely right now, parents and schools do not necessarily repond to their needs.

In this seminar, students who are able to better relate to "digital natives" offer workshops on internet safety for young students who are "digital natives
"; students do analytic research based on the results of the workshops in order to get useful insight on network security; by carrying out these two missions, students aim to blend theory and practice. This seminar is unique in the sense that students can contribute directly to society through such practical activities.

Students are expected to learn broad and latest knowledge, such as laws and institutions regarding cybersecurity, situation on cybercrimes and cyberattacks, cases in which young students are involved in troubles using internet, contents of awareness raising activities by other institutions/organizations/experts. Then students are expected to think about how they can tell young students the necessary and important things effectively according to the their age. Furthermore, based on the feedback obtained from the activities, students are expected to further evolve the methodology.

In terms of research, because the area of study such as smartphone usage for pupils and students is a very recent social phenomenon, there are very few preceding research in criminology or sociology; which means that students have a good chance to make research achievements as a paper based on data obtained from practical activities.

We have offered many workshops and lectures at elementary/middle/high schools which are highly appreciated by teachers and parents.

Asahi Shimbun and many other news media have reported on our activities. We received the SFC student award in 2015. We also have been awarded by the Tokyo Kiwanis Club and by Kanagawa Prefecture Police Headquaters.

評価方法

研究会への出席及びワークショップその他のボランティア活動への参加状況に基づき評価します。出席、参加が規定の回数に達していない場合は、不可とします。

実践活動の機会があまりない場合は、防犯に関する個人研究の発表や国家資格（ITパスポート等）の取得など個々の能力開発を推奨し、評価の対象とします。

Students will be graded based on class attendance and participation in the workshops and other volunteer activities.

If there are not many opportunities for practical activities, stuents are recommended individual skills development, such as presenting individual research or obtaining a national qualification (e.g. IT passport).

その他・留意事項

現在の教員(小笠原教授)は2022年3月末まで担当する予定です。

夏休みを活用した文献輪読の準備を推奨しているので、秋学期からの履修を希望する人は早めに教員に連絡してください。

The current teacher (Professor Ogasawara) will be in charge until the end of March 2022.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of the summer break to prepare for the literature review, so please contact the faculty as soon as possible if you wish to take the course in the fall semester.

授業スケジュール

具体的な進め方については、学生の自主性を重んじたいと思います。

学生は、実践活動の準備のほか、サイバー犯罪防止や子どもの被害予防に関する幅広い最新の知見について自ら学び、発表するなどします。

可能であれば、サイバー関係企業への訪問の機会も設けたいと考えています。


Students are expected to demonstrate autonomy in class.

Students prepare for the workshops and make presentations to learn broad and latest knowledge on prevention from cyber crime and other crime against children.

Students may have opportunities for visit to cyber-related company, if possible.
