科目概要

世界の多元化が進む今日，高いコミュニケーション能力の開発が求められている。第二言語習得・外国語教育のメカニズムを定量的・定性的アプローチによって解明し，言語学習の実践に活かすことを目的とする。中でも言語運用能力に焦点を置き，多言語・多文化社会における，接触場面におけるコミュニケーション摩擦等の課題についても，認知言語学，語用論をはじめとする様々な視点を活かしたアプローチを有機的に取り入れ，異文化間コミュニケーションの円滑化について探求する。

In this increasingly diverse world, there is a clear need for advanced communicative competence. In this project, we will explore the mechanism of second language acquisition and foreign language teaching through a mixed-methods, qualitative and quantitative approach with the aim of utilized-focused language learning and research. In particular, we will focus on language learning in relation to various cultural perspectives, including cognitive linguistics and pragmatics as they pertain to living in and creating a multilingual and multicultural society.

*We will conduct class online.

主題と目標／授業の手法など

本APは(1)理論研究と(2)実践的研究・活動の2つからなる。(1)理論研究では、第二言語習得と外国語教育の科学を広い視点から探求する。言語運用能力に着目し、語用論、認知言語学、異文化間コミュニケーションなど様々な広い視点から、第一言語および第二言語でのコミュニケーションのメカニズムを探る。（２）の実践的研究では、英語教育、日本語教育、その他の外国語教育について、（１）の理論的基盤に基づき、教員、大学院生が活発にディスカッションを重ねていくとともに、院生が研究を遂行し、理論と実践とのつながりを明確化する。また、実践研究で効果が認められたものについてはさらに言語教育システム開発を試みる。

授業の手法：教員による講義・指導、履修生による文献講読・輪読・発表、学会発表練習

This course is comprised of theory formation and practical studies/activities. Focusing on language use, we will explore the mechanisms of second language acquisition from the standpoints of pragmatics, cognitive linguistics, cross-cultural communication, and other relevant fields, We will endeavor to link theory with practice by conducting experimental and/or practical studies that build upon theories as well as developing a language teaching system once teaching methodologies are confirmed effective.
