科目概要

私たちが住む世界は相当部分がことばによる認知を通じて成り立っている。心とことばの関係はどのようなものか、両者の関係はどのような認知発達を経て成熟し、変化していくのか。このような課題に、言語習得／学習研究、言語類型論、認知科学などの学際的なアプローチによって迫る。

A large part of the world which we live in is constructed via language-based cognition. What is the relation between mind and language? How does this relation mature through cognitive development and change over years? We will try to answer these questions through an interdisciplinary approach combining language acquisition/teaching research, linguistic typology, and cognitive science.

主題と目標／授業の手法など

認知言語学、言語類型論、語用論、談話分析などの知見を活かしながら、これらの分野においてオリジナルな知見が生み出せるように研究を進めます。

We shall draw upon findings from cognitive linguistics, linguistic typology, pragmatics, and discourse analysis, and work togetgher to produce original research outcomes in these fields.
