研究会概要

目的・内容

*■目的*

本研究会の主な目的は、 *心及び身体に関わる知覚・認知機能を研究すること* です。様々な知覚・認知現象の発見、モデルの検証、モデルの構成を目指します。

研究会主宰者（森将輝）は、 *視覚* 、特に *空間の知覚と認知* を専門に研究しています。これらの研究は、知覚・認知処理のメカニズムの解明、心理アセスメントの開発、運動パフォーマンスの評価、バーチャルリアリティの技術開発等に貢献することを目指して行っています。

*■研究の進め方*

研究会では、それぞれの研究発表、先行研究の紹介、ディスカッションを中心に進めます。研究の指針となるように、基礎的知識・スキルの習得の方法も示していきます。具体的には、データを解析する方法を学ぶ、心理実験を行い、英語で書かれた論文を読む、実験で得られたデータをもとに学術論文を実際に書くことで力をつけていきます。問題を発見するにも、実験スキルを獲得するにも、知識を深めるにも、 *実践あるのみ* です。自分の時間を使って、 *心理実験・心理調査* に取り組んでください。行った実験・調査・進捗をベースとして研究ミーティングを定期的に行います。

*■研究テーマ*

以下に示す４つのテーマに関する実験心理学的研究を中心に受け入れます。

- *空間* に関する心の科学（空間の知覚・認知能力の解明）例：視空間、両眼立体視、認知空間、聴空間、触空間、視線知覚空間、空間移動、ヘッド・マウンド・ディスプレイでの見え方
- *社会性* に関する心の科学（視線知覚のメカニズムの解明、社会性認知）例：アイコンタクト、視線方向知覚、指差し方向の知覚
- *ハンディキャップ* に関する心の科学（精神障がい・発達障がい・身体障がいのある児童・成人の知覚・認知能力の解明）例：自閉スペクトラム症児の知覚特性、強迫スペクトラム障害者の知覚特性、個人差
- *身体性* に関する心の科学（身体運動が知覚・認知機能に及ぼす影響、運動パフォーマンスの評価、身体性認知）例：ラバーハンド錯覚、自己主体感、自己所有感、位置覚、走動作、身体内外への注意、ベクション（自己運動感覚）

上記以外の研究テーマで知覚・認知心理学の見地から研究をしたい場合は、担当教員に相談してください。（例えば、担当教員は色の知覚や固有感覚の研究なども行っています。）
上記の研究テーマを知覚・認知心理学で用いられる手法と異なる手法で研究したい場合も、担当教員まで相談してください。

*■Purpose*

The main purpose of this seminar is *to study perceptual and cognitive functions relating to the mind and the body* . We aim to discover various perceptual and cognitive phenomenon, to verify models, and to construct models.

The principal investigator (Masaki Mori) engages in a specialized study of *Vision* , and especially *Space perception and cognition* . These studies aim to contribute to the investigation of the mechanism of perceptual and cognitive processing, the development of psychological assessment, the evaluation of motor performance, the technical development of virtual reality, etc.

*■How to progress with research*

The seminar members conduct the presentations of your research and previous reseach, and discussion in the seminar. I show the members to acquire the basic knowledge and skills. Especially, you will develop your abilities: to learn how to analyze data, to conduct psychological experiments, to read the journal papers written by English, and to write journal papers based on the data obtained the experiments. *It is important to practice* : what you find problems, what you acquire experimental skills, and what you develop your knowledge. I would like you to work on *psychological experiments and surveys* using your time. We have a regular meeting based on your experiment, survey, and progress.

*■Research theme*

I will welcome seminar members who would like to study the research of experimental psychology relating to the four following themes:

- The science of the mind concerned with *Space* (Elucidation of the space-perceptual and cognitive abilities) Example: Visual space, Binocular stereoscopic vison, Cognitive space, Auditory space, Haptic space, Gaze perceptional space, Navigation, Vision under the head-mounted display
- The science of the mind concerned with *Socialization* (Elucidation of the mechanism of gaze perception and joint attention, Social cognition) Example: Eye contact, Perception of gaze direction, Perception of pointing direction
- The science of the mind concerned with *Handicaps* (Elucidation of perceptual and cognitive abilities of children and adults with mental, developmental, and physical disabilities) Example: Perceptual properties of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Perceptual properties of person with Obsessive-Compulsive Spectrum Disorders, Individual diference
- The science of the mind concerned with *Embodiment* (Elucidation of the influence of body movement on perception and cognition, Assessment of motor performance, Embodied cognition) Example: Rubber hand illusion, Sense of agency, Sense of ownership, Position sense, Running motion, External and internal focus of attention, Vection (Self-motion perception)

If you would like to study different research themes from above using perceptual and cognitive psychology, you need to ask me. (I'm also studying Color perception and Proprioception.)
If you would like to study above research themes using a different method from perceptual and cognitive psychology, you also need to ask me.

評価方法

*2/3以上の出席* （無断欠席は厳禁）と *課題* の提出、 *研究発表* （＜研究計画、研究経過、論文レビュー等のいずれか＞×4回以上が必須です。出席、研究発表、研究活動、ディスカッション等をもとに成績が評価されます。

*More than 2/3 of the class attendances* (absence without notice strictly forbidden), submission for *the task* , and *research presentations* ( x 4 times and over are required. Academic Record will be evaluated based on your attendances, presentations, research activities, discussion etc.

:学期末の研究報告書: 学術論文形式での短報を執筆すること。（2段組みで4ページ以上；日本心理学会の執筆・投稿の手引き等を参照すること）適宜授業内で説明します。
