科目概要

Study the operation technology of the Internet. You have used the Internet, of course. There are so many applications and those applications are very useful. However, the technologies to support the Internet is not so well known, especially operation technologies. In this class, we study technologies to support the Internet, a way to set up and operate a small network, and so on.

主にインターネットの運用技術について学習する。既に多くの人々はインターネットのユーザとして、様々なインターネットアプリケーションを活用し、その有用性を認識している。しかし、インターネットへの接続方法、ファイアウォール運用技術、NAT運用技術、より規模の大きいネットワークの運用技術、ネットワークマネージメントなどに触れる機会は少ない。本講義では、これらの内容について解説し、ネットワークの設定、管理、運用などを行う為の知識と技術を身につける。

主題と目標／授業の手法など

小規模なネットワークの設定に必要な最適限の技術や知識から、大規模なインターネットのオペレーションをするために必要な技術や運用ノウハウ、そして、Webやメールのサーバの運用について講義する。

Study the operation technology of the Internet. You have used the Internet, of course. There are so many applications and those applications are very useful. However, the technologies to support the Internet is not so well known, especially operation technologies. In this class, we study technologies to support the Internet, a way to set up and operate a small network, and so on.

1. Knowledge and technologies to set up and operate a small network
To study how to set up a small network (small office network, home network) and how to operate it.

2. Knowledge and technologies to operate the Internet
To study how to manage the networks. Monitoring technologies, technologies for trouble shooting and so on.

3. Knowledge and technologies to set up and operate servers.
To study how to set up and operate the servers (Web, Mail, etc.)
