科目概要

本スキルコースは、春休みや夏休みの期間にドイツ語圏の大学で開催されるドイツ語海外研修に参加するための準備コースです。自分の専門分野に近い大学・コースの選択や申請、海外研修中に現地で行うフィールドワークの準備を進めます。本スキルコースの履修は、必ずしも2021年春季の渡航に関連付けられません。2021年夏季以降に渡航する予定がある場合も履修できます。
なお、COVID-19の状況により、2021年春季にドイツ語圏の大学で海外研修自体が実施されない場合、研修が実施されても日本（もしくは研修参加希望者の滞在国）からドイツ語圏への渡航が認められない場合、研修が実施され、かつ日本（もしくは研修参加希望者の滞在国）からの渡航が認められていても義塾の判断で研修への派遣が中止される場合（2020年9月時点では、その判断がいつ下されるか未定です。出発直前まで判断が保留になる可能性もあることをご承知おきください）、ドイツ語圏の大学がオンラインで海外研修を実施する場合など、さまざまな状況が想定されます。そこで今学期は、海外研修の準備と並行して、ドイツ語圏事情について学んだり、ドイツ語読解のスキルを磨いたりするコンテンツも提供し、臨機応変に授業を組み立てていきます。既に海外研修に参加した経験はあるが、ドイツ語圏についてさらに学びたい、ドイツ語読解のスキルをさらに磨きたいと考えている方の履修も歓迎します。
また、通例は学事日程の定期試験期間最終日の翌日から次学期の授業開始前日までの期間に実施される研修の中から自分の参加するものを選択できますが、COVID-19の関係で、2021年春季に限っては2月下旬以降のコースのみ選択・参加可能とします。具体的な日程は、研修に付き添う（予定の）マイヤーまでお問い合わせください。

This skill-course prepares you to participate in a German course at a university in German-speaking areas during the spring or summer holidays. It will help you choose and apply for a university or course close to your field of study, as well as prepare for the fieldwork you will be carrying out during your stay. This skill-course is not necessarily linked to your stay in German-speaking areas in the spring 2021; you can also take it if you plan to travel after the summer 2021.
Please note that due to the circumstances of COVID-19, there could be various situations, for example, if the German course at a university in German-speaking areas in the spring 2021 is not available, if the German course is available but the travel from Japan (or the country where the applicant is staying) to German-speaking areas is not permitted, if the German course will be offered and the travel from Japan (or the country where the applicant is staying) to German-speaking areas will be permitted but the dispatch of an applicant to the course is cancelled based on the decision of Keio University (as of September 2020, it is not known when the decision will be made. Please be aware that this decision may be put on hold until just before your departure), or if universities in German-speaking areas conduct an online German course.This semester, therefore, in parallel with the preparation for the German course abroad, we will build up our classes flexibly by offering contents for learning about German-speaking areas and brushing up your German reading skills. We also welcome those who have already participated in a German course abroad but would like to learn more about the German-speaking areas and brush up their German reading skills.
Usually, you can choose and participate in the German course which is held from the day after the last day of the final examination period of the academic schedule to the day before the start of the next semester, but as for the spring 2021, you will only be able to choose and participate in the courses which will start after the end of February due to the COVID-19. For specific dates, please contact Mr Meyer.

【研修参加が可能な場合】
現地では各自決めたテーマについてフィールドワークを行い、帰国後にその結果を提出することを義務付けています（①現地コース受講修了証明書、②日誌、③フィールドワークの3点）。

The main contents of this course are as follows.
・German overseas training program overview and conditions for credit acquisition
・Explanation by the co-op staff about the necessary preparations for your stay
・Explanation on how to find participating universities, as well as on how to apply for them and transfer money
・About German universities
・About contemporary Germany
・German grammar terminology
・German for emergencies
・German for situations you will likely encounter at German universities
・German for explaining about Japan
・How to search for academic articles and books
・Preparation for the fieldwork and presentations (about your fieldwork plan)

Students are required to conduct field work on themes decided by themselves and submit the results after their return (via ① a course completion certificate, ② a journal, and ③ field work report)

以上を総合的に判断したうえで評価を出します。

1. Active participation in class; 2. Oral Presentation about fieldwork / facilitation of reading academic articles and books;

Students will be evaluated comprehensively based on these assignments.

履修上の注意

※ これから研修に参加する方のみ該当 ※
本授業の履修は「スキルコース」として2020年度秋学期の単位として換算されます。2021年の春休み期間中に「ドイツ語海外研修」に参加した場合は、さらに「海外研修」科目として履修することになります。その場合、「海外研修」は2021年度春学期の単位として申請することになります。両者は別科目扱いですので注意してください。不明な点はドイツ語研究室に問い合わせてください。

Students taking this class will receive credits as a “skill course”. If you participate in the “German overseas fieldwork" during the spring vacation this semester, your participation will also be regarded as taking the 'overseas fieldwork' subject. In that case, credits for the “overseas fieldwork” will be counted for the next semester. Please note that both are treated as different subjects. For further questions please contact the German department.
