科目概要

In this course, we will examine various linguistic practices in (South) Korean society and explore the cultural meanings assigned to them. After briefly introducing the basic concepts and methodologies in linguistic anthropology, we will review empirical cases in contemporary Korean society. In this process, we will attempt to interpret cultural meanings shared in various speech communities such as children, adolescents, women, queer, homeless, middle-aged men, and rappers.
(any other suggestions are also welcome.)

(1) 参与 40%: 討論､　論文に関するコメント､　随時課題など
*Mere attendance won't give you a good grade, every student is expected to make a helpful contribution to the class.　(that is to say, unhelpful contribution should be avoided.)
(2) 発表 30%: 日本の言語文化の紹介､日韓言語文化対照など
例えば､ 日本の漫才をご紹介することができます｡ (太田 省一(2002/2013), 社会は笑う: ボケとツッコミの人間関係, 青弓社)

(3) 期末ミニペーパー 20%: TBA
(4) 出席 10%
