科目概要
Internet and digital technology brought us a new learning environment for human beings. We can learn anytime and anywhere by utilizing open educational resource available on the cyberspace and communicating with people in the global space. In this workshop, we will experience several kinds of learning styles using ICT, analyze the value of ICT in education, and discuss the future of the education.
Students will also experience the process of creating the "workshop" to support their own learning, which involves analyzing the current problem, coming up with idea to solve it, and creating a plan to make it happen.

Internet and digital technology brought us a new learning environment for human beings. We can learn anytime and anywhere by utilizing open educational resource available on the cyberspace and communicating with people in the global space.
In this workshop, we will experience several kinds of learning styles using ICT, analyze the value of ICT in education, and discuss the future of education.
Students will also experience several learning activities through the workshops and design your own learning workshop as the final term project, which involves analyzing the current problem in "learning", coming up with the idea to solve it, and creating a plan to make it happen.
Group discussion and presentation at most of the class meetings will be required.
Individual contribution to the discussion in each class is strongly encouraged.

Reading materials will be introduced in the class.
提出課題・試験・成績評価の方法など
Assignments: 30%, contribution to the discussion: 40% and the final project: 30%.

Introductory session to explain the scope and style of this course.

Through the "teaching" activity, discuss the important factors for teaching and learning.
第3回 Being a good communicator (Oct 26)
Communication is the key to successful learning and teaching. Let's explore the importance and difficulties of communication.
第4回 Learning through games (Nov 2)
Experience learning through a game and try to design a game for learning.
第5回 Special Session: Library and Research & Sharing session(No 9)
1st half: Special lecture by the Media Center about how to utilize the resources in the library. Discuss the university facilities for education.
2nd half: fieldwork

第9回 Information Quality (Dec 7)
Information quality is very important to evaluate when you looking for information through web sites. In this session, we will experience some of the examples of searching for the information and come up with the criteria on the web reliability.
第10回 Open Educational Resource - OER (Dec 14)
Share your recommended online learning material to the class and conduct a discussion about hot topics related to education.
第11回 MOOCs (Dec 21)
Enjoy the learning design workshop for MOOC course development.
第12回 Storytelling with Data (Dec 24)
Storytelling is an important skill to convince people and convey your message to any kinds of audience. In this session, we practice storytelling using Data by reviewing the Data related to Education provided by OECD.
