How to form and state a good opinion
Type:Project
Keyword:Discussion,Listening,Presentation,Project,Speaking
Course Description:
*NOTE: This course is conducted BOTH in Japanese and English.
This course is for students who want to brush up on their opinion-forming and presentation skills. Presentation is pretty much all about thinking—thinking hard to form a goodopinion, thinking hard to organize it, and thinking hard from audiences' point of view. Based on group work, the course provides studentswith various thinking routines (mainlyl in the spring semester) and ample presentation opportunities (mainly in the fall semester).
Learning outcomes:
By the end of the semester, students will be equipped to think better. They will be able to reason well, think from multiple perspectives, think creatively, and gain confidence in their thinking, all of which are essential toolsto conduct better presentation.
Teacher's comment:
Class participation is essential. Students are particularly required to vocally respond to questions provided and actively participate in discussions. Materials, when necessary, will be handed out in class.
