研究会概要

目的・内容

乳幼児期（生後３年間）は、精神発達にとって重要な時期である。家庭訪問による赤ちゃんの観察を通して、健康な家庭における乳幼児の精神発達を体験的に理解する。乳幼児観察と並行して、Infant Mental Health Journalなどの文献を通してその理解を深める。

Infancy, or the first three years of life, is an important period in a child’s mental development. Students will make observations of babies by visiting them at home, and empirically gain an understanding of an infant’s mental development within a healthy family environment. Along with such observations, students will deepen their understanding through reading literature such as the Infant Mental Health Journal.

評価方法

乳幼児観察のプレゼンテーション、ディスカッションへの参加態度、最終レポートの総合評価で期末の評価を決定する。

Students will be graded at the end of the term, based on a comprehensive assessment of the content of their presentations of baby observation, their level of participation in, and contributions to, discussions, and their final reports.

3歳未満の乳幼児のいる家庭を訪問観察します。訪問先の家庭は、基本的には各自探してください。訪問先が見つからない場合は紹介します。

Students will visit families with infants under the age of three to make their observations. Each student is responsible for finding the family he or she will visit; however, We will introduce a family if you are unable to find one by yourself.

授業スケジュール

継続的な乳幼児観察の報告とそれをめぐるディスカッションを行う。また、最も関心を抱いた乳幼児の精神発達にかかわる文献を紹介し、その考察を発表する。
濱田庸子研究会と合同で行います。

Students will discuss their continuous observation of infants, and engage in related discussions. They will also talk about the area of infant mental health literature that drew their interest the most, and make a presentation on some of the things they have studied.
This Seminar will be carried out jointly with Professor Yoko Hamada’s Seminar.
