科目概要

本科目は、建築やそれを成り立たせる構造体、都市あるいはランドスケープといった空間のデザインを専門に行っている講師を毎回招いて、それぞれの分野におけるデザインの面白さを語ってもらう授業である。それぞれの専門性からデザインとは何か、何の為に行うのかを学び、空間デザインに関わる知見と興味を高めることを目的とする。
日本語をベースとするが一部講師は英語での授業を行う。

This class is composed of series of lectures conducted by designers of space who design certain spaces and related area, such as architecture, its structure, city, and landscape architecture. Each designer will give a talk on his/her interest and meaning of the design. The purpose of the class is to learn what is 'Design' and what's for and to enhance students' knowledge and interest into spatial design.
Basic language is Japanese but some of the lecture will be conducted in English.


授業シラバス

主題と目標／授業の手法など

本科目は、空間のデザインを専門に行っている講師を毎回招いて、それぞれの分野におけるデザインの実践を通した理解を深める授業である。それぞれの専門性からデザインとは何か、何の為に行うのかを学び、空間デザインに関わる知見と興味を高めることを目的とする。

分野として、建築設計、構造設計、ランドスケープデザイン、アーバンデザイン、コンピューテショナルデザイン、コミュニティデザイン、アルゴリズミックデザインなどの領域からの講義とする。

毎回それぞれの講師の話を聞き、議論を通して空間デザインの醍醐味や社会的意義、将来の展望などを考える。この授業を通してより多くの学生に空間デザインへの興味を高めてもらいたい。

This class is conducted by distinguished spatial designers in order to deepen the knowledge of the field. From each designer's point of views, we learn what is 'design' and what for we study design, so that we can get knowledge about the field and more interested in the topic.

Fields of spatial design are including architectural design, structural design, landscape design, urban design, computational design, and algorithmic design.

In every class, we have different guest speaker and think through the discussion on the dynamism, social meaning and future scope of the spatial design. We hope more students get interested in this field through the classes.

提出課題・試験・成績評価の方法など

毎回の授業後２週間以内にその講義に関するレポートを提出する。
出席およびそれらのレポートにより成績評価する。

Submit each class's report within a week.
Attendance of the classes and the each week's report are counted for final evaluation.

履修上の注意

空間デザインへの進路を考える学生を優先して受講させる。
一部英語の講義が行われる

Students who are willing to study the field will have a priority for the selection stage.
English lecture will be held in some classes.
