科目概要
The internal world of the mind is manifested through diverse forms of expression. Of these, I will explore, in particular, the experiential world surrounding “images” from a psychoanalytic perspective. How a person can understand “images” richly and deeply depends on the spread and depth of the area of experiences possessed by the reader of such images. Therefore, to understand the entity that reads the images itself, I will place emphasis on the process of discussing a wide range of image experiences.
“内的な心の世界”は、さまざまな表現形態を介して現れます。その中でもイメージ体験を中心に置き、その体験世界に精神分析的観点から光をあて、イメージをどれだけ豊かに言語化できるか、探求していきます。内的な心の世界に通ずるイメージをいかに“豊かに深く体験的に”理解するか、それは読み取る側の体験領域の広がりと深さにかかわってきます。そこで、読み取る主体そのものを理解すること、つまりさまざまなイメージ体験を話し合うプロセスそのものを通して得られる、“自己分析”がまず重要な課題となります。

主題と目標／授業の手法など
“イメージ”として現れる心の世界を読み取り、理解し、さらに言葉にしていくには、その主体となる自分を知ることが求められます。そこで、さまざまな素材をもとに、グループワークを通して、“イメージ”をめぐる考察を深めていきます。到達目標は、自分自身についての気づきを得ることです。
To be able to read, understand, and put into words the world of the mind that appears in the form of an image, the person who becomes the subject of such acts is called on to know more about himself/herself. Therefore, students will work with others through group work, and will use all forms of study materials to deepen their analyses concerning images. The goal is to obtain an awareness of themselves.

提出課題・試験・成績評価の方法など
授業中に毎回実施するミニレポートと、学期末レポート、およびふだんの授業態度やグループワークへの参加程度から評価します。
Students’ grades will be based on a mini-report submitted during each class, final reports, their attitude while attending classes, and their level of participation in group work.
履修上の注意
グループでの活動が多いことに加え、体験的な連続性を重視する講義です。遅刻、欠席をしない自信のある方のみに、履修していただきたい． グループワークを避けたい方には不向きの講義です．
学生は、グループディスカッション、および発表が英語でできる程度の能力を有していることが求められます。
The Course is not recommended for students who are not good at confronting their inner selves through group work.
Students should have ability to discuss and make a presentation in English.

第7回 絵本をめぐって １

さまざまな心のテーマを扱っている絵本を素材にして、絵本から触発されることをグループで自由に話し合います。
Students will use, as study materials, picture books that deal with all types of themes on the mind, and freely discuss, in a group, the thoughts and ideas that these books inspire.
